1. As always, beautiful makeup starts with beautiful skin. Be sure to cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin according to your skin type.
2. Prime your skin with Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
3. Even skin tone with Mary Kay's Medium-Coverage Foundation. Set Foundation with MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.
4. Fill in your eyebrows with a brow pencil.
5. Apply a lavender eye shadow like Urban Decay's Asphyxia around the perimeter of your eye {do not go into the crease}. Line the upper and lower lash line with a black pencil and add some pixie eyelashes.
6. For Nia's cheeks apply a soft pink blush like NARS Orgasm to the apple of the cheek and blend to towards the hairline.
7. Apply a neutral gloss to the lip like OCC's Lip Tar in Trick.
Voila`!
I love Nia Long (I think she's my girl crush). I have never tried Nars but I hear a lot of great things about it. I've also never used a foundation primer. Seems like it would make for a thick coverage, especially since I use concealer in some areas. What does the primer under the foundation do?

ReplyDeleteNARS is wonderful and their blushes are the best. They have great eye shadows as well but I wasn't crazy about their lip glosses.
You can really skip the primer step but some of the benefits are; it helps your makeup last longer and it fills in any pores or lines in the face helping the foundation to go on smoother and prevent creasing.
