  1. Great picks. With the YSL Touche Eclat which number is suitable for African American skin? I know some people say use number 1 or 4 whats your pick. I'm a beginner with makeup, what would you suggest in terms of eyeshadow colours, blush and lip colours + what's a great red lip colour, something that pops. What can you also use to have radiant skin, I love Nia Long's skin, its always glowing. I'm a MUFE HD foundation #178/ MAC Studio Fix NW47. Yvonne

*I didn't mean to write this much, sorry.

  2. I've only sampled Touche Eclat so far and number 4 worked great on me (MUFE HD #173). I don't have under eye circles but it gave me the perfect highlight. I think number 1 would be too light for your skin tone.

As far as eyeshadow colors, the sky is the limit. My personal faves for women of color are neutrals (beige, taupe, browns) and purples. But you can wear ANY color you want, just be sure to blend well.

I wrote a post of blush a while back (on the right hand side just click blush and you can find it). My favs are orangy colors like Nars Taj Mahal (there is a NYX dupe for this but the name escapes me right now) or anything with a brown or peach tone to it (think MAC sweet as cocoa and peachykeen).

My favorite red lip is MAC Ruby Woo! I love love love (I wear it in a lot of posts on this blog lol) this color and it will work well on any and every skin tone.

Nia's skin is perfection. I wish I knew how to get that glow lol. But honestly I think her genes and eating habits probably play a big role. A makeup primer like lumene skin tone perfector in med/dark may do the trick. I have this product but I have not used it in a while. I will begin using it again because it did give a nice dewy/glow. I purchased it from CVS.

    Hope this helps!
