Get the Look | The Perfect Orange Lip

Just as I posted here, orange lips are all the rage this summer! I know what you're thinking- "I can not wear such a bold lip or this will not look good with my skin tone!!" Well here's where I prove you wrong; just like orange eyeshadow or orange blush, orange lipstick looks fabulous on women of color! Just Google it or keep reading to see how I make it work for me.


I lined my lips with MAC's Chestnut lip liner, put MAC's Morange on top then added a little C-Thru lipglass also by MAC.

Spring Forecast | All About Color!

I love that Spring/Summer 2011 is all about color! Pastels are so fresh and feminine, perfect for spring. Even if you are more of a natural-face girl its very easy to add just a pop of color on your lips, eyes or cheeks. LOTD and February's Obsession

My lip of the day and February obsession goes to MAC's Cyber! This was definitely my favorite lip color for the fall and winter. Its sooo dark and alluring... I love it. I always wear it with bronzy cheeks and black eyeliner or nothing on my eyes at all. I love all things dark... dark hair, dark nail polish and dark lips. Something about black, deep berry and red shades, dark blue and purples are sexy and seductive yet feminine to me. I know spring is in the air but I will still be rocking my black nails and maybe dark lips throughout the new season! That's the beauty about makeup and fashion, you can do what you want just do it well!

Lip of the Day!

MAC's Show Orchard is perfect for the upcoming spring season. This hot pink is an amplified finish so the color goes on very pigmented which I love. I'm a black girl with full lips and this color works for me so I'm sure this or something similar will look fab on you too... don't be scared of color!

I would rock this lip with a very basic eye and a neutral/bronzy cheek. In this photo I had on Urban Decay's liquid liner in Radium (metallic blue) on my upper lash line with Rimmel London's Nior eyeliner (black) on my lower lash line and tons of mascara.

*I tried to take a decent photo of the whole look but at the age of 25 I just realized that my left eye is lazy (or at least it is tonight) and I'm not comfortable with it lol.
