MAC isn't playing any games with us in 2010. They are pushing out new fierce collections like there's no tomorrow.  All Ages, All Races, All Sexes looks absolutely fabulous! Looks like the warm, natural look is back for the Spring.  This collection looks like a brown girls dream. I can not wait to get my hands on it (for my clients of course)! I'm sooo excited about this collection. It screams Spring time; the pastel pinks, lilacs and fun lipgelees are the perfect makings of a "fresh face."

The only products that I'm not particularly interested in are the brushes and the cute little eyeshadow trio, just doesn't seem pigmented but my opinion may change when I see it in the store. It debuts January 7th!

New Year's Eve

This little black number is perfect for a New Year's Eve night on the town. This simple shirt dress is not meant to be worn too tight but the open back and short hem line will show the perfect amount of skin while still looking spohisticated and chic. And with these 5 1/2 inch heels you will have legs for days! You don't want to over do this look with too much jewelry, just a cute bracelet and earrings will keep this look simple yet sexy!

Don't forget your makeup needs to match the fierceness of your outfit. I recommend a soft smoky eye. Apply a silver eyeshadow or pigment to you lid and tear ducts, add a small amount of a black matte eyeshadow to you outer V, blend it throughout your crease with a matte brown eyeshadow that's close to your complexion. Line you waterline with a black eyeliner, smudge it out with the same black shadow that's on your outer V, add lashes and TONS of mascara. Lightly powder your cheeks with a pinkish-brown blush. Give yourself a pinkish-nude lip, spray some of your sexiest perfume and have a BLAST!

MUSE: FOX News Rising's Wardrobe Wednesday

I had the WONDERFUL opportunity to do the makeup for the featured guest and models during the weekly segment 'Wardrobe Wednesday" on our local FOX station. The segment was about busting fashion myths like white in the winter, the blue/black brown/black combination and matching accessories to your clothing. The models looked wonderful and I had a ball (even though I had to get out of bed at 5:15). It was well worth it though!

My New Foundation

Yesterday I finally purchased Make Up Forever (MUFE) HD Foundation. I've been wanting to try it for a while but couldn't justify spending double on a new foundation when my old one was working just fine. Well yesterday I decided to live a little and splurge and so far I LOVE it!!! Now I'm not completely giving up on my MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 because it has been great to me for years but MUFE HD Foundation coupled with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Dark gave me a flawless finish.

Holiday Party Anyone?

I know that the style for this season is "All Black Everything" but why not stand out at the next holiday party? This little purple number is bound to have heads turning!

Of course you can't forget the makeup. Once again the Shadowy Lady quad prevails... try Light Fall in the tear ducts and on the lid, Shadowy lady in the crease, a concealer one shade lighter than your complexion under your brow bone and a nude glossy lip. Make sure you add lashes for extra fabulousness.

December's Obsession: Shadowy Lady Quad

I purchased this quad Thanksgiving weekend from a Cosmetic Company Outlet (for super cheap) and I've literally worn it every time I applied makeup on myself since.

There are tons of ways to use this quad for instance, you could use Light Fall all over the lid, cut the crease with Smudged Violet, use Light Fall again to highlight your brow bone and with a angled brush apply Deep Truth to the outer 3/4 of your lower lash line.

Or for a more dramatic look you can apply Deep Truth to the entire lid, use Shadowy Lady in your crease and outer V, highlight the brow bone with Light Fall and then add a touch of Smudged Violet to your tear ducts.

However you chose to wear it add some eyeliner, mascara and WORK IT!

MUSE: Battle of the Blues!

My favorite color this season has to be blue. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This past weekend I had two clients and I opted to use blue on both of them. Most people think that blue eyeshadow looks dated but not always, see...

T. Strong was taking head/personality shots and wanted a natural look but I decided to amp it with a splash of blue. T. never believed she could never wear blue eyeshadow but [me] knowing that women of color can wear any color, I decided to show her different.

MUSE: T. Strong

I had the pleasure of making the face of T. Strong, hostess for "The Red Pump/Red Tie Affair: an evening of art, fashion, food and music to commemorate World AIDS Day 2009.

T. Strong wanted to accentuate beauty with natural but striking makeup. I used shades of purple and with a nude lip to give her the "natural but I am the queen of the evening" look she was going for.
